Arizona for Christmas

Well, it's been a hectic month like so many Decembers are. I thought I would post here more often but it will hopefully become habit soon. We are currently in Arizona spending Christmas week with Matt's family. We drove on Friday night, left around 5:30 p.m. and arrived around 5:30 a.m. Overall it went well; we stopped in Trinidad to eat (took our time) and Matt was well rested and was able to do it all. Whitney had been running high temps with likely roseola and woke up with a 102.7 temp so I stripped her clothes and gave her Motrin and she went back to sleep. Nathan wasn't super comfortable and woke up around 4 and didn't sleep much more until we got him settled into bed after arriving. I was so uncomfortable as well, but we've all caught up on sleep now and are having a great time.

While it's a lot of work to pack up the family around Christmas time, it's also nice to be away from all of our to-dos at home. On Saturday was Matt's birthday. We slept, walked around Mill, viewed some incredible neighborhood Christmas lights. Yesterday we made sugar cookies and Nathan, me and Grammy went to 3D Polar Express at the IMAX. He didn't like wearing the 3D glasses, not sure why. Nathan loves it here; this is likely the year he will start have true memories. He loves all the toys Grammy has collected and there is a borrowed tricycle that he has been riding like a mad man (Grammy made him a little town out front with chalk). Today, Grammy took Nathan to the dollar store to Christmas shop. I gave him some money and he got to pick out gifts, she said it was super fun and what a great lesson to start teaching him. Him, Grammy and Poppy are going to Flagstaff tonight to ride a real Polar Express and stay the night in a hotel, I'm sure he'll love it. Whitney seems to be over her strange illness and the rash is mostly gone. She loves Grammy and Poppy's house too. She's not sleeping wonderfully in the pack n play but improving each day.

More soon...

Found Fischer

A distant neighbor has had Fischer since the morning he went missing and finally had his chip read and a call to us. He is home safe.

Spent the weekend in Kiowa, always a fun and chaotic time. Nato loves to be with his cousins and Grandma & Grandpa. Whitney has already grown a strong bond with Grandma, it starts so young!!! She is getting pretty goofy with her imitating, fake coughing and head nodding. She really is so smart and catches on to things so quickly.
